Outlook 2007 Configuration on startup

Jether

I have just purchased office ultimate and all of the programs seem to
work fine, except outlook. When I start outlook, there is a window
that pops up and it says it's "configuring Office ultimate". It also
pops up a smaller windows installer box. These to windows seem to be
separate and do not work together. You can see both of them here:

The larger "configuration progress" takes ages to do (probably about
10 mins) and then after that has finished it reccommends re-booting.
However if you do that it runs into even more problems as the other
installer box is still going. So I click no, don't re-boot and the
other installer box does it's thing for a minute or 2 then
disappears.

It all seems ok so I re-boot. However, when I start outlook again, it
goes through the entire process again.

Please tell me how to get past this as i pretty much can't use outlook
with this problem.

Thanks
James

It sounds to me like you're not letting it finish.

I would consider reinstalling Office, too.

James,
Have a look at my posting and my own reply - I had the problem of Outlook
2007 not configuring and found that I had to uninstall Outlook Connector.
Could be related to your config problem.
