Outlook 2007 Calendar

When I used Outlook via Exchange Server at work, if a reminder was set for an
appointment, you could tell as the display on the calendar showed a little
bell in front of the appointment. Now that I am trying to use this at home
without an Exchange Server involved, I can't seem to get the little bell
indicator to show up on the calendar to notify me that something is set
regarding this particular appointment. Is this not available if server isn't
used as well?

Thanks for confirming but, boy, what annoying thing to do. That icon was
very handy. I see no benefit in removing it. At least they should have
given the option to have it be displayed.

No, it has nothing to do with the server - you used a different version at
work - outlook 2007 removed the bell.

They removed it to clean up the view - not realizing that many people
want/need that visual reminder. Unfortunately, I don't think its returning
to Outlook 2010 but we should have a better idea in a few weeks when the
official beta is released.

Couldn't agree more, that a HUGE oversight. It's a critical piece of
functionality to see which appointments have a reminder and which don't...I'm
shocked that the Office development team would eliminate something like that
without any user feedback...even RIM has figured that one out. But i guess
when you consider that they ignored thier Excel users, and completely borked
the system, it's probably to be expected at this point...

FWIW, the bell is back in 2010.
