After re-installing Outlook Beta 2007, not installing the Busines connection
and deleting Outlook convertor to elminate the constantly re-occurring
crashes, I get the following error message. What to do?

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window.
The set of folders cannot be opened. An unexpected error has occurred. MAPI
was unable to load the information service MSCON.Dll. e sure the service is
correctly installed and configured."

I reinstalled because when I had Outlook and Business and Connector
installed, I received the error message:
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAP132.DLL is corrupt or the wrong
version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software.
Please reinstall".

That's an easy one.

You restore your test OS to the image you took and saved prior to installing
the beta software and then try again.

At least that's how most of the beta testers I know do it.

By reinstall do you mean formally uninstalling and then reinstalling?

Still didn't work. Get the same message. I installed the software"over" the
prior installation..

I gave up. I uninstalled OL 2007. Then, I called Microsoft Office support
because I kept getting error messages on installing Office 2003. They sent
me to the "support.microsoft.com" website and had me enter 295823 in the
"Search Support KB" box. That brought up the "patch cannot be opened" error.
Clicking on that brought up a fix dated 7/27/06 by clicking on "msicuu2.exe".
I am back to the old system and am happy.
