After opening 2-3 e-mails, Outlook 2007 beta crashes. Internet security
settings are ok per Microsoft's recommended settings.

If you have a question post it with sufficient detail.
Crashes would not be unusual with beta software. Happy testing.

Russ,
When I open and read 2-3 e-mails, I get an error message. I send the
information to Microsoft and then click on a link that gives me the details
of the problem. Below is the issue:

Problem description
An error occurred in your Adobe Acrobat. Adobe Acrobat was created by Adobe
Systems Inc..

Recommendation
A solution is not available for the specific problem you reported; however,
Adobe Systems Inc. has informed Microsoft that a new version of Adobe Acrobat
is available. The new version may not fix the error you reported, but Adobe
Systems Inc. recommends that you install it. To learn more about the update,
click the link below.

I have Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0 with all updates thru version 6.05. To see
if I could fix the problem, I uninstalled it completely, ran a registry
cleaner, restarted my computer. I opened Outlook 2007 Beta 2 and was able to
open e-mails without it crashing. I reinstalled Adobe Acrobat with all
updates and Outlook started crashing again. It is obvious that this beta is
not compatible with Adobe Acrobat.

I figured it out. I just had to remove an add-on file (PDFMOutlook.dll)
From the toolbar in Outlook go to:
Tools - Macros - Security – Add-Ins
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\PDFMaker\Mail\Outlook\PDFMOutlook.dll
I removed the PDFMOutlook.dll and saved it in a newly created folder on my
desktop just in case I need the file later.

Was this helpful for you? I removed the addon because I was having the same
problem.. I hope it works because it was VERY annoying...
Thx
