Outlook 2007 aborts in Vista "a problem has caused..."

Outlook 2003 running on Vista aborted when loaded. Updated to Office 2007
professional and now Outlook 2007 aborts with "A problem has caused the
program to stop working correctly..." Unable to do anything at all in
Outlook!!!!

see if Outlook will run in Safe mode (outlook.exe /safe in the Windows Run
box). If it does then disable all add-ins and try again. You could also try
anew profile created via the Mail icon in Control panel.
