Outlook 2003

I have a client that has upgraded to Outlook 2003.
He works for different companies and therefore
has numerous e-mail addresses. On his old Outlook
(2000) he was able to select which e-mail account so
that when he replies, the correct e-mail address is
shown. This was not profile based. After he opened
outlook, a box popped up with the different e-mail
accounts and he was able to then select the one he
wanted to use. Is this possible with Outlook 2003 and if
so how do I configure it.

I have a very similar problem, having Outlook 2003 also,
working under Windows XP: Connection using incoming POP3
mail server and outgoing SMTP mail server are according
to specs provided by ISP Earthlink. I had a bit of a go-
round with Earthlink, because they state in their ads
that the user can use MS-Outlook to get their mail. It
seems that may be true for older versions of Outlook, but
not 2003. So they are now telling me to use Outlook
Express. I'm looking at re-directing all my email
accounts to Yahoo (100MB storage), and using a third-
party provider like those that can be found at
http://www.sos-crew.com/httpmp/readme.shtml to give me a
way to connect the http mail with MS-Outlook.

If anyone else out there has a better idea, please say
so. BTW, I can send the test message from
Outlook's "test account settings" button, but try to send
a real message and I get the following: !
Task 'pop.earthlink.net (1) - Sending' reported error
0x8004010F): 'The operation failed. An object could not
be found'.

You should find an icon on the message that lets you choose which account to send it from.

Outlook 2003 is quite capable of sending and receiving mail from an
EarthLink account.
So they are now telling me to use Outlook
Express.

They will give you support for using Outlook Express as your email client.
They will not give you support if you choose to use Outlook because it's too
much of a hassle FOR THEM. Again, Outlook is quite capable of handling
EarthLink mail accounts. The same POP3 and SMTP servers are used in Outlook
as in Outlook Express.
If anyone else out there has a better idea, please say
so. BTW, I can send the test message from
Outlook's "test account settings" button, but try to send

Your incoming (POP3) server should be pop.earthlink.net (not
pop.earthlink.net (1) ) and your outgoing (SMTP) mail server should be
smtp.earthlink.net. Make certain that authentication is enabled.
When a new message is created, click on the Accounts button on the toolbar.
He can choose his sending account from there.
