Outlook 2003 Vista Backup to XP restore

Hi - Luckily, I backed up my 2003 Outlook from my laptop (Vista) the night
before my hard drive crashed. When I tried to open the backup on my desktop
(XP), it could not open it.
Does anyone know how I can use my Vista backup with an XP? Is there a way
to convert the backup somehow so it is recognized on an XP system? I tried
to find this question; however, I may have missed it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated; like many, my life is on Outlook. John

Although your problem affects Outlook, the problem really is a Windows
compatibility question. You should ask in a Windows group.

Anyway, what is the file extension of your Vista backup? And what is the
error message you get when you try to open it with the XP backup?
