outlook 2003, view attachment dialogue box

i unchecked the button on the dialogue box that asks you how you want to view
the item of this particular file type: open, save etc. how do you undo that?
i want to be prompted with that dialogue box each time i attempt to open an
attachment.

That is a Windows setting and not an Outlook setting;
Control Panel-> Folder Options-> File Types-> open the extension-> toggle
Confirm open after download
