Don't want to open .pst file each time I start up Outlook!

I've archived old emails to a .pst data file, but each time I open Outlook a
dialogue box appears prompting me for my password so that the .pst folder can
be opened.

I don't want this dialogue box to pop up - can I change a setting so that
instead of the prompt appearing as I start Outlook, I'm only prompted for the
password when I actually choose to open the folder?

Thanks.

If the data file is password protected, and its connected to the outlook
profile, it is being accessed whenever you start that profile.
To avoid the msg you would need to disconnect/remove that data file from the
Profile
