Outlook 2003 "Unread messages" folder

Adam

Hi,

I've just reinstalled Outlook 2003, and I no longer have the list of
"useful" folders just above my mail folder list (top left of the Outlook
screen).

I used to have useful things there such as "unread messages" (and "flagged
messages I think), but now I just have a small "Favourite Folders" windows
above "All Mail Folders" which says "Drag your favourite folders here". I
no longer have an "unread messages" folder, so can't drag it there! :)

Help!?

TIA,
A.

close outlook, at the start menu, run comand type

Outlook.exe /resetnavpane

this should reset your navigation pane file and list the default folders in the Favorite Folders list.

Unread Messages and For Follow Up are two of the built-in Search Folders.
If you expand the Search Folders folder, you should see them under
there...if not, right click the Search Folders folder and choose New Search
Folder. You can choose a built in search folder to display or create your
own.
