Outlook 2003 Unknown error 0x80040201

Outlook Send/Receive Progress continually says 0 of 1 tasks completed
succesfully.
"sending' reported error (0x80040201): 'Unknown Error 0x80040201'
Does not seem to impact use.
I'd like to delete the error message.

You can't delete the error message. Instead you should address the cause of
the error and the error message will stop.

Do you have an undeliverable read receipt perhaps?

Thanks for responding Brian. I can not get the downloaded file to resemble
the instructions in your link. I get message that extractions are complete,
but no screen with "Select Message store to open."
I think you're right about hte stuck read receipt. I recently left employer
and have email exchange with former friends who request read stamps.
