How do I avoid an Outlook error 0x80040201?

I am using Outlook as a front end to my gmail account, and when I attempt to
forward a message, I get the following message

Task 'Gmail - Sending' reported error (0x80040201) : 'Unknown Error
0x80040201'

How can I avoid this?

Thanks in advance,

Lou

Are you properly authenticating tot he outgoing server? Have you disabled
any antivirus scanning of your outgoing mail?

Hi Brian,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. I am properly authenticated to the
server and generally receive and send mail without problems. If, however, I
forward a message or include and attachment I get the error message and the
outgoing message stays in my outbox.

I am using Norton Antivirus software and do not see where I can turn off
scanning for outgoing email.

I am wondering if there is a security setting for outgoing mail that I have
to set.

Any thoughts?

Thanks again,

Lou

I don't use NAV, but there must be a configuration option that allows you to
control it. If you can't find it, you can always uninstall NAV and
reinstall, which should give you the option to not install the email
integration. Symantec products are well-known for not playing well with
Outlook.
