Hello,

I recently upgraded from Outlook 98 to Outlook 2003. Now everytime I open
and email with a JPG attachment the JPG file opens in WIndows Picture and Fax
viewer but I get an alert box that states "The system cannot find the file
specified." I am using Windows XP Pro with all the updates and Outlook 2003
has all it's updates.

I have tried alot of suggestions but nothing seems to work. I would
greatly appreciate the help solving this one.

Thanks,

Tom P.

Control Panel, Folder Options, File Types .. select the jpeg file type,
select advanced, select open, select edit ...
the settings should be:

Application used to ... : rundll32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1

DDE should be checked

Application: shimgvw

Topic: System

I suspect you don't have DDE checked.

BillR,

Thank You for the reply. My jpeg file type was correct as you had
mentioned. DDE was checked and all settings were correct. The error still
occurs. I am still open any and all possible solutions.

Thanks,

Tom P.
