Outlook 2003 Stops responding

Brad

When using Outlook 2003 over my home network, after I
close it, it stops responding. It stays in my system
tray all nice and peaceful, and when I double click it,
it says something about the Exchange Server (which I'm
not using). I have to go into the Processes tab of Task
Manager to close it, because it holds 20 MB of ram while
it's open...Any suggestions? I'm no good with
newsgroups, so if anyone has a suggestion, please e-mail
it. Thanks.

If you don't connect to a Microsoft Exchange server, you can remove the
transport from your account setup. See Tools | Email accounts | View/Change
accounts to get to a place where you can remove it.

As for other reason why Outlook 2003 will stay resident. ActiveSync and
WinFax Pro tend to be good candidates. (When the PDA is in the cradle and
on, ActiveSync keeps a reference to Outlook 2003. This hangs the process at
close.)
