Do you have an email account created? Is Outlook 2003 activated?

Signatures are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application
Data\Microsoft\Signatures - you can delete them from that folder if it's not
working in Outlook.

Diane thanks for responding. This is my home email account which has been
installed and active for 5 to 6 years. my signuares are stored in
c:\documents and settings\myname\application data\micrsoft\signatures. After
deleting the spamfiltersol.rtf ( which is what I wanted deleted), I closed
and reopened outlook and open tools menu - options - mail format and
signatures is "still" grayed out. Is it possible that I need to delete
settings in the registry?. thanks again.

Uncheck the option to use Word as the editor.

Milly, thanks for responding. I have already done it with no results. I
think it is a registry entry somewhere that needs to be delete. yes or no?

thanks
