After furious head scratching, sqllady asked:
| Diane thanks for responding. This is my home email account which has
| been installed and active for 5 to 6 years. my signuares are stored
| in c:\documents and settings\myname\application
| data\micrsoft\signatures. After deleting the spamfiltersol.rtf (
| which is what I wanted deleted), I closed and reopened outlook and
| open tools menu - options - mail format and signatures is "still"
| grayed out. Is it possible that I need to delete settings in the
| registry?. thanks again.

|| Do you have an email account created? Is Outlook 2003 activated?
||
|| Signatures are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application
|| Data\Microsoft\Signatures - you can delete them from that folder if
|| it's not working in Outlook.
