Outlook 2003 - Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book is dimme

Running Outlook 2003 on an XP SP3 system. When I go to create a new message
and click on the Address Book icon, I don't see my contacts list (I have
created several Contact Folders). If I right-click on a folder, choose
Properties and then click the Outlook Address Book tab, the checkbox "Show
this folder ..." is greyed out. I found the Knowledge Base article Q197577
that says to add the Outlook Address Book service by clicking the Tools menu
and selecting the Services option. But I do not have Services listed in the
Tools menu. Am I missing something, or is there another way to add the OAB
service, or another way of enabling the Show this folder option so my
contacts are visible when I create a new message? Thanks in advance for your

In 2003, it's accounts or email accounts.

Go to Tools | Email Accounts, choose View or change existing directories or
address book. Is the Outlook Address Book present? If it isn't listed, add
it and close and restart Outlook. If it is listed, then remove it and close
then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add it.

Thanks Diane - your response was spot on. OAB was not present; added it, shut
down and restarted Outlook and voila! - Greatly appreciated (fyi - I posted
this same question on Experts Exchange and didn't receive any replies in over
one week; you replied next day. Now I know where to go if I need additional
support).
