outlook 2003 setup

Hi all,
We are moving from office 97 to office 2003 pro. We only use outlook for
the contacts and calendar features, not for email. I setup the personal
folders .pst file to be located in the users my documents folder. When I
look at it after testing it, it created a file called extend (dat file) under
the local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook.
the users my documents is redirected thru group polices to a server. What I
am trying to accomplish is having all the users files on the server. It
saved the outlook.pst to the server but not the extend file.
What do I need to configure to have the extend file under my documents also?
Also, is there a .adm file for group polices to control the outlook settings?
Thanks in advance for any help

I believe htre is nothing you can do. Extend.dat and most of the other
Outlook files cannot be moved.

There is no need (and no way) to redirect this file as it is just a cache
file of the registry settings for your add-ins. It doesn't contain any data
for the user in the way that a pst-file contains e-mails. When it's lost it
will be rebuild again from the registry.
