outlook 2003 send%2freceive error message

Hi,
I seem to have exactly the same error. An error message appears shortly
after send/receive has started, saying outlook has to close down. I have
followed the messages and found the inbox repair tool, but don't know which
file I need to repair! I have tried searchin for *.pst files, but this draws
a blank. Can you let me know how I detect the file causing the problems?
 
Thanks Andreas, I found the pst files in my outlook folder, ran scanpst.exe
and there were errors that were then corrected. Unfortunately the same fault
persists. outlooks send/receive runs for a short while, then an error
message pops up to say that there is a fault and outlook will close. Any more
ideas?
