outlook 2003 Select Names Advanced Options

I keep seeing this error message:- "Pre-recipient send options could not be
set. This recipient has no options specified." whenever I click on the
Select Names > Advanced > Send Options link.

All the other options listed on the Advanced Button work apart from this one
and I cannot find anything in the help files, which explain how to correct
this

That's probably normal behavior. The Send Options feature doesn't function in every configuration. What were you planning to use it for?

To find out how to setup an email so that I receive a message back saying the
recipent has read the message as well as set other send options.

Those are message options, not recipient options. Set then using the Options button on the message.
