Outlook 2003 Security Updates

I cannot install the following updates for my Outlook 2003. I received the
update norification last week but they fail. The security updates I am trying
to install is KB917151 and KB914455. Every time I try to install these
updates they fail and I have even reinstalled Outlook and still cannot
complete the updates. I have also tried just doing 1 update at a time and
this makes no difference.

Can someone please help me with this?

If you download the file from MS to your local machine and run it, does an
error message popup?

Hi Vince

When I download either one of these update, when they are trying to
download, I get a message that they "failed". I have tried updating from the
icon that is displayed on my taskbar, I have tried downloading by opening
Outlook 2003 and doing a scan for updates, and I have gone to Microsoft and
tried to download and neither one of them will install. I have also
uninstalled and reinstall Outlook 2003 and this did not help. I have not had
any problems with downloads for Outlook before until I get these two most
recent downloads.

Don't download the patch through WindowsUpdate or MicrosoftUpdate. Just
download the EXE from MS's site. Run one and see what happens.

I have gone to Microsoft.Com and tried to download the updates from there and
they still fail. I have tried just downloading one at a time and they still
fail. Since I have not been able to download the updates I am still getting
the icon on my taskbar that they need to be installed but have been
unsuccessful in installing them. I don't know what else to do.
