Outlook 2003 Rules

R

RG

I access my exchange 2003 mailbox from outlook2003/windows xp pro. The
exchange 2003 runs on a stand-alone server. I am trying to forward e-mail
sent to me from particular user to a specific user. I want the forwarding
to take place even when my windows xp pro is not on.

I have setup the Rule Wizard's descritption as follows:

Apply this rule after the message arrives
from ([email protected])
forward it to (e-mail address removed)

This rule is checked.

Would anyone know why the e-mail sent from (e-mail address removed) doesn't get
forwarded to (e-mail address removed)?
or perhaps there is another way to accomplish this.

Thanks in advance

Are both users internal or external to your organization? If you create the
rule, is it server side or client side? If client side, you will need to
leave Outlook open for it to work.

If Outlook is closed and you are out of the office, you can use the Out of
Office Assistant to create the rule.

Exchange by default prohibits Auto Forward/Reply and to enable it launch
Exchange System Manager expand Global Settings > select Internet Message
Formats and in the right hand column right click and select Properties of
"Default *", choose Advanced and check required Options.
