Outlook 2003 PST

I m getting an error msg "...it is not a personal folders file..."when
opening my 1.6GB PST file. I have run the scanpst.exe but get the same error
msg. The PST was saved from an internal company laptop from Chile and I m
now transferring it into another laptop in the US. Please advise.

State in clear terms how this PST file was created and transferred.

Make sure that the read-only attribute is not set.
