Are you sure the extension isn't .PST? And to answer, the file format is
propriatery and onlyl Microsoft Outlook can work with it. (SCANPST.EXE is
the inbox repair tool that might be able to fix some problems. There is
also a 2GB tool that can truncate the file if one went to big.)
