"Somehow?" Can't happen unless you did it. Provide the rest of your story.

Hi Russ,

I don't know what else happened. I did do a MicroSoft suggested update.
I'm not sure it that was after, or before the problem.

Thanks for responding!!!

Office updates quite often re-assign Outlook as the default mail client. If
you don't use Outlook for anything just uninstall it....

I do want to use Outlook. What I want is my old Outlook 2003 back, with all
the lost data. Here is my original post.

So what do you mean by "OE replaced Outlook?" What happens when you open
Outlook?

Umm I have NEVER heard of Outlook EXPRESS "replacing" Outlook. Do Start-All
Programs-Microsoft Office-Microsoft Outlook. Does that start Outlook?

Russ, You fixed it for me!!!!!!! To answer your question, when I opened OE,
where Outlook used to be, I got OE. You gave me the idea to do a computer
search for OUtlook 2003, which I did. I found it and all my data was there.
Here is what happened. When I did the Microsoft update it made OE my primary
email. All I had to do is make Outlet 2003 my primary, and wala...... It's
back!!

Thanks,

John

I did a computer search and found Outlook. I opened it and all my data was there. OE had become my primary email. I changed it back to Outlook. Thanks!
