Hi-

I read all the threads, but still no luck. My Outlook 2000 was slow, so I
upgraded to 2003 hoping it would take care of issue.

It takes up to 10 secs to open e-mail, navigate menues, folders, etc.

Details:
- outlook 2003
- win xp pro
- plenty of memory
- non-exchange> pst is 1gb > i made a new pst and copied all old stuff
thinking pst is corrupt

I tried:
- disabling link to IM
- disabling text/speech
- archived alot of junk

It works fine when I'm in "safe" mode though- it's really fast.

Any idea/suggestions? this is killing me!

The step you took on creating a new pst was good. You may now want to
try compressing it. If this does not help, check whether splitting it
into 2 separate files helps. If it does then you know the problem is
with the pst or its contents, if the performance doesnt improve then
there are other stuff you should look at.
