outlook 2003 on sbs server 2003 using exchange 2003

I'm trying to use office outook 2003 from my exchange server 2003 running on
a small business server. There are two users and two client computers. I want
all email (internal, pop3, and imap) to be put into one public folder in
outlook that both users can access. I also want a public calendar and contact
that both users can access, but I'm not which computer I need to use to
create the public calendar and contacts. Do I use office outlook on the
server to create a public calendar and then add the two users as owners? or
does the public folder have to be created in the exchange server first? Can I
create a public folder, example mybusinessemail, and have multiple emails
from different isp's deliver email into that one folder? if so where do I
create it? Please help, getting really turned around.

This isn't really an Outlook question. I suggest you post in
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

That said: it isn't clear to me what your actual goal is here. You can have
your users set up rules to move mail wherever you like, but that doesn't
sound very efficient to me. What's the purpose of this? You could certainly
have a shared mailbox that they both access, but that won't work well if you
are using Internet mail in Outlook (and I suggest you avoid using Internet
mail in Outlook anyway, since you have Exchange). You can have mail
delivered directly to a public folder if you wish, and are hosting your own
Internet mail directly - just mail-enable it.

I think SBS2003 has both of these built in already. Regardless, to create
anything other than a mail-type folder, you need to use Outlook, and you
need to be logged in as a user who has rights to create public folders. The
default domain administrator account will have these permissions - you can
also change permissions on the public folder tree in Exchange System Manager
so that users have rights to do so. I suggest you create a folder at the
root of the PF tree in ESM and allow users to create subfolders as needed in
Outlook.

Do not install Outlook on your Exchange server. This is a huge no-no.

I think you need to do some reading on how Exchange works before proceeding,
and clarify your goals. You might also consider finding a consultant to help
you. Make sure you also understand how to back up & restore Exchange, and
have good antivirus/firewall protection in place on your network.

The SBS newsgroup I mentioned above will likely be useful to you...they're
very helpful in there.
