Outlook 2003 & localhost

Running OL2003 on Win XP Pro

Whenever I logon to the PC and start OL, the incoming mail server gets
changed from what it should be - "pop-server.bigpond.net.au" to "localhost",
which prevents me from receiving incoming mails.

When I change the incoming mail server to what it should be, the server name
gets appended to the end of the user name, which also doesn't work. So I
repair the user name and all is OK. Until next time I log in.

This happens to all users of the PC and is very frustrating. How can I stop
OL from corrupting the mail account settings?

TIA
Andrew

That's your anti-virus program doing that. Disable Email integration.

Brian's right as to the cause, but I suggest you contact your AV vendor to
see if they have an updated version, or get another antivirus product. I
don't like disabling mail scanning - best to have as many layers of
protection as possible.
