Outlook 2003 - LDAP Directory Server

I just upgraded from Outlook 2000 to 2003. When I type
in a name (ex. "Erin") I get an error meesage

"Can't contact LDAP Directory server (81)"

What do I need to do to my address book so I don't need
to type in the whole e-mail address everytime I send a
message?

If you don't use an LDAP server, disable the service in your profile.
Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing directories or address
books>Next. Select the LDAP service and click Remove.

I have the same problem. I recently "upgraded" to Office XP. When I click
Outlook I get a screen that askes for Exchange server info (which I don't
have) and LDAP directory info before entering the Outlook Inbox page. I can't
send a new message, I get the "can't find LDAP Directory Server (81)"
message, though I can reply to message with some work. Also there is nothing
in the address book, yet plenty in contacts. How can I get my email working?

If you can't get Outlook 2003 started in order to select Tools > Email
accounts so you can remove the Microsoft Exchange & LDAP services, you can
do this thru the mail applet in the control panel. (Microsoft Exchange is a
view/change existing e-mail accounts and LDAP is a view/change directories
and address books.)
