Outlook 2003 Junk Mail Filter Does Not Work

I just installed Outlook 2003 as part of MS Office 2003 on my new Windows
Vista laptop. It has all the necessary updates installed from Microsoft.

The junk mail filter is not working. All of my obvious junk mail goes
directly into the in box and not into the junk mail filter.

I went to junk mail options on Outlook and it is set to high. I tried
setting it to low and it made no difference. I set it back to high and it is
still not working.

I have no junk mail rules, etc. It is vanilla Outlook. Changing the
settings seems to make no difference.

Any suggestions on how to do this? My frustration level is skyrocketing!

Thanks.

Steve

Which account type are you using?
Also verify that you haven't added yourself as a safe recipient.

Thanks for responding. FYI, It is a POP3/SMTP account. I have not added
myself as a safe recipient. I fixed the problem late last night by running
detect and repair. Thank immediately solved the problem. All the obvious
junk mail is going into the junk mail folder now. Regards, Steve
