Outlook 2003 Journal and Earlier versions of Office Prods

Can I get a confirmation that Outlook 2003 Journal will not record earlier
versions of Office products, such as Word and Excel 2000 or 2002 (XP)? Does
it need to be the same 2003 version of Office apps to record files from Word
and Excel?

It seems to be working fine in all other areas within Outlook, but not Word
or Excel, which are version 2000 and 2002.

As far as I remember you need the same versions of Office apps for things to
work together best.
