Changing categories of Outlook Journal entries

Paul

I'm following up on the advice in an earlier thread:
http://groups.google.ca/group/microsoft.public.outlook.general/browse_frm/thread/ca3e3d55e97d4b40

To change the category of a large number of Journal items, I can first
drag them into the "No Category" category, then drag them to the
destination category.

The problem is that I don't have a "No Category" category. I tried
creating such a category with a dummy Journal item. However, dragging
Journal items into that category does not erase all category labels
from those Journal items. Obviously, I misunderstood. Could anyone
clarify this?

Thanks. I am using Outlook 2003 on Windows XP.

Actually, I found a way to do this...simply select all Journal entries
of interest, right-click, choose Categories, and set the categories as
desired.
