Outlook 2003 is stripping all html content from incoming emails

Outlook is stripping all HTML content from my incoming e-mail messages - even
if I send one to myself.

Tools->Options->->Preferences->Email Options - uncheck "read all messages in
plain text."

unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, JanS asked:

I have that box unchecked and still no html - I can send myself an Html
formatted e-mail with just text in the body and it comes through blank....
