Hello,
Forgive me if this is not the correct group for my question, and redirect me
if so - thanks.
I have PC running Windows 2000 Pro w/Microsoft Office 2000. It did not have
Outlook, but rather Outlook Express.
I purchased Outlook 2003 and installed in on that computer. Now, I keep
getting notifications for updates that are described as being for Office
2003. These include security updates, etc.
Some of the updates specifically mention Outlook, but most say they are for
Office 2003. My questions are these:
1) Why does Windows Update think I have Office 2003 now?
2) Will these updates cause any problems?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Melissa

It does this because there are several common programs and application files
in both Outlook 2003 and Office 2003. You'll indeed need to install those
updates as well. If the update contains files that are for instance for Word
2003 it won't install these.
