Hi,
We have an issue currently with Outlook 2003. We are using the Rich Text
Editor for new emails.
The issue we have is inserting Hyperlinks to files. If you start a new
message and add a file you are given the insert file window. If you go into
the recent file list and select a file and insert it then you have no
problems. The problem comes when instead of insert you do Insert as Hyperlink.
Instead of putting the file path in it puts in c:\documents and
settings\user\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Recent\Document.doc.LNK which
does not work for the users you are sending it to (say if you chose a
document off a shared drive).
Does anyone know a solution to this to get the .LNK file to be correct and
point to the location of the docoument and not the recent LNK file.
Thanks,
