Outlook 2003 Inbox failure

Have had Outlook 2003 for years with virtually no problems. Recently every
folder can be accessed except the inbox which now leads to the error message:
Outlook has encountered an error and must close. The error ID is 1000 which,
when researched, shows no specific information. Event viewer shows "Faulting
application Outlook.exe version 11.08217.0 stamp 480f95d9 faulting module
outlib.dll version 11.0.8217.0 stamp 480f94f8 debug? 0 fault address
0x00677f85. Office has since been reinstalled only to lead to the same
problem. Guidance sought

Greetings and much thanks for your timely reply. ScanPst was run. Two
errors were found and repaired. A subsequent scan showed no folder errors.
Regrettably, the inbox problem persists.
