Outlook 2003 & IMAP Sent Items

Matt

I have been using Outlook Express for two IMAP accounts.
I recently upgraded to Outlook 2003, but it handles the
Sent Items differently. OE would save the sent items in
a "Sent Items" folder within the IMAP folders for that
account, making it much easier to track. Outlook 2003
saves them in the main mailboxes "Sent Items" folder, so
all messages sent from all accounts get saved in the same
folder right in the PST file.

Is there any way to have Outlook 2003 save the sent items
to the IMAP folder like Outlook Express does?

Thanks.

You have to create a rule...

"Apply this rule after I send the message through
the <specify account> account and on this machine only
move a copy to the <sent> folder.

Specify which IMAP folder you want the message copied to
in <sent>.

This will do exactly what it says it will do. You will
have your sent items in your IMAP sent folder and in your
personal folder. If you don't want this, you can play
around with the rules.
