Outlook 2003 - I'm losing body of message when sending word docume

When I'm sending a Word 2003 document to a 'mail recipient as attachment' I
select the recipient, then type a message below in the main email body.
Outlook 2003 sends the email as normal but for some reason the attachment is
being sent but not the message I'm typing in the body. It is left blank and
I've tried everything to fix this problem. Could it be something to do with
my settings?

From what I have read and understood from others, it may be caused by add-ins
- remove them, AVG - disable it, stationary and fonts - set it to none, or
stationary fonts - set to always use my fonts.

Let me know if you find the answer cause I'm having the same problem.
