outlook 2003 goes offline automatically

Why does my outlook 2003 go offline automatically?
If i click sent/receive, it returns "can not connect to the server". I must
uncheck "go offline" manually to make outlook work fine.

Possible account, firewall or connection issues. Check your server timeout
and possibly all your account settings and anything that might block access.
