outlook 2003 favorite folders not retained between sessions

When I open Outlook I have the default folders in the favorite folders area.
I delete these folders and add my favorites, my favoriet folders remain and
are active throughout the sesscion. When I close Outlook and then restart,
the favorite folders have reverted back to the default folders and my
favorites have been removed.

Have you applied all the current Service Packs for Office 2003?
