Outlook 2003 DOES NOT RESTART

I am using Win XP Pro. If I close Outlook 2003, I am
unable to restart it. I get this message:

"Outlook is not responding. If you are using an Exchange
server email account, you can cancel pending server
request by clicking the Outlook icon in the notification
area, and then clicking Cancel SErver Request in the
shortcut menu."

This could be a simple matter for some experts. For tech
dummies like me (who can read English) it is not quite
clear where the "notification area" is, and where I
can "Cancel Server Request" in the "shortcut menu". HELP!

By the way, I just recently upgrade (full install) to
OFFICE XP PRO 2003. I am quite happy with the change but
this OUTLOOK PROBLEM is driving me nuts. To make things
worst, when I RESTARTED my system, I got a dreaded blue
screen message: "lsaub.sys - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED AREA"
system was shutdown to prevent damage and it asked to
uninstall new applications.

Thank you for helping.
