Outlook 2003 crashing when closing emails

I have a user whose Outlook 2003 is closing when she tries to close emails.
She has the email window maximised and is clicking the correct button. it
only happens with the x button in the top right corner (file exit works
perfectly) and only happens when she has 1 email open. When she has multiple
emails open, it closes the email perfectly. It happens with both new emails
and replies. There is no error message and there is no loss of performance
anywhere else. any ideas appreciated. Thanks

Could she be double clicking on the close button instead of doing a single
click?

Thanks Roady

I went to see for myself - I actually thought she was pressing the wrong
button. I had a go myself and i can confirm right button, pressed only once,
with 1 email open, closes Outlook. Very weir indeed.

Your reply got me thinking. I changed the mouse, which was a bit
unresponsive - and it all worked - thanks
