My Outlook 2003 crashes often -- 10 to 20 times a day. It either stops
reponding, in which case I need to use the Task Manager to close it, or it
crashes and closes by itself.

I am using Windows XP - SP2

I have re-installed Office 2003 on a system with a new Windows XP-SP2. I
still get the same problem. I have tried with and with out the Exchange
cache mode.

HELP.

What sort of mail accounts do you have? It sounds like you have an
Exchange account, at a minimum. If you also have an IMAP account and have
turned on diagnostic logging, the Windows component that Outlook uses to do
logging will crash periodically...

Hello Jay,

My Outlook 2003 was often crashing too after windows sp2 install. I discover
that If you use outlook with html option, it causes online crash after write
2, 3 lines in HTML mode. I use outlook with Rich Text option right now, and
never online crash right now.

May be my graphic card ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 64 Mb need to upgrade driver
after win xp sp2.

let me know if you need further information regarding my outlook 2003 and
word 2003 in HTML mode usage online crach problem.

Hi Jay

Finally, I did the following things and so far, everything looks like ok.

1. Select Outlook 2003 - Help
2. Select Detect and Repair
3. Select Discard my customized settings and restore default settings
4. Press "Start" button

Good Luck!
