Outlook 2003 crashes on start

Every time I start a new instance of Outlook 2003, it starts mail
send/receive and then crashes with a standard message "the program encounted
a significan error and have to shutdown, sorry for inconvenience" - no error
messages. It would restart automatically and everything is fine. I only
remember one instance of Outlook shuting down after few hrs of normal
operation.

I would appreciate any help

What do you mean by 'new instance' are you trying to open a new instance of
OL whilst it is allready running?

No, what I mean is that I closed Outlook yesterday night. I started it today
and it crashed the first time and works fine after the re-start

Have you checked your application event viewer for Outlook or Office-related
error messages? (Look for eventID and source)

Now I did - thanks. It looks like there is a conflickt between Outlook and
GoogledesktopOffice. This is what I got:

Event Source: Microsoft Office 11
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1001
Date: 10/29/2006
Time: 7:22:55 AM
User: N/A
Computer: GERMAN

Any suggestions?

I'm having a similar problem. Outlook would cause the PC to restart at random
and after this restart, it'll run fine for the whole day. doesn't happen
every day but it's quite annoying. I couldn't figure out what the problem
is. I've got hardware checked and my only concern is either the data is
corrupted or Outlook is having conflicts with other programs. I would like
to know where can I check the Event Viewer in Windows (sorry for being
stupid; but is it in the Computer Manager? if so, I got some .DMP files
created during each crash but couldn't understand what's in them) I would
greatly appreciate any help or further instructions for trouble shooting.
