Outlook 2003 Crashes on Mail Receive

If I turn off Broadband Internet Modem, Outlook will run, but of course no
mail is received. I have read the posts, but have not been able to
accomplish a correction. I opened the Outlook Application Data in Windows
Explorer, but am not clear on what to do with it.

Microsoft Crash Error Message seems to be different after every crash. One
was "STOP 0x000000EA THREAD-STUCK-IN-DEVICE-DRIVER (Q293078). I would have
to be "walked through" checking to see if video card driver is the most
current.

Some reports state that it is a "Corrupted Error Report". HELP!

I'm having a very similar problem. Outlook crashes my computer and I have to
reboot. Just recently started.

My problem is now solved, as my tech returned my call. In my case I have
Comcast Broadband. He had me go to Tools >Options>Mail. He had me change
"Pop3" to "Mail". Evidently these providers occasionally change their
settings, but do not alert subscribers! If you can receive mail on the
"provider site" but not on Outlook, that is normally the problem. Hope this
helps you!
