Outlook 2003 contacts missing

Hi there,

Did a complete backup of a customer's hard drive as it wouldn't boot to
windows. We got every last file backed up for sure. We then reloaded the
hard drive with windows xp recovery from Toshiba and loaded her office 2003
pro. I imported her outlook.pst file and it brought in all her mail and
everything with the exception of contacts. I have scoured the hard drive for
any other PST files and any other type of address book and can find none.
First, where would these contacts be (she has many as she is a realtor)?
Second, why would they not be with the main PST like all other PSTs I have
dealt with. Thanks.

Importing is never the way to restore from a PST.

Are you saying that the Contacts folder is empty? You'd be better off
starting over again. Create a new mail profile and simply configure it to
use the existing PST. Don't import.
