Outlook 2003 changes incoming POP3 server

I

Ian Goodman

My version of Outlook 2003 keeps changing the incoming
server to "localhost". Each time I want to get email
following a re-boot I have to change it
to "mail.optusnet.com.au" and
remove "/mail.optusnet.com.au" from the user name.

I connect to the internet via DSL modem.

Why does this happen and how do I fix it so it doesn't
happen in the future?

Regards
Ian

It is not Outlook, it is your firewall or AV scanner that is changing your
server name. Disable the mail scanning option in your product and change
your server name back to what your ISP gave you.
