Outlook 2003: Cannot enter inbox rule.

I recently had to reinstall WIN XP. I saved my entire hard drive and
restored most of the data, reinstalling applications. After working OK for a
while, the Outlook Inbox rules & alerts wizard has begun acting strangely:

1) When I start a new rule, and get to the "Apply this rule after the
message arrives from" prompt, clicking on the underlined email address yields
the following: "The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder
associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved
or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove
this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Office Outlook
Help." Well, the contacts folder is certainly there, and in active use for
auto filling email addresses for outgoing mail. What does it think it is
looking for?

2) There is a group of inbox rules that were used before the reinstall.
They are the exact set tof rules that I want now, but these are labeled with
"(For other machine)". What other machine? When I attempt to edit one of
these, I get the same problem when I click on the email address at the "Apply
this rule..." prompt.

Any Ideas? I am using Office 2003, with WIN XP, SP2.

Thanks for any help.

I would add/remove the Outlook Address Book and then reactivate each contact
folder that needs to be used as an address book. (See Tools > Email
Accounts > View/Change directories and address books to add/remove the
outlook address book. Must restart Outlook between the remove/add. To
check to see if a contact folder is being used as an address book, r-click
on the contact folder and select properties. Go to the outlook address book
tab.)
