Outlook 2003 can not temporaily turn off the connection for an em.

How do you temporarily turn off or prevent an email account from connecting?
This feature is in Outlook 2000 on the first screen of setting up or making
changes to an email account.
 
Try File | Work Offline. You can also edit the send/receive group settings.
