Outlook 2003 automatically deleting messages!

Hi, i'd really appreciate your help on this one, I can't figure out why its
happening.

A friend of mine has recently switched to a new laptop using Outlook 2003,
which she's using for POP3 email. I set the account up for her on her laptop
so I know there are no weird rules or anything like that.

When I send her an email (with a read receipt request), the email is
downloaded into her Inbox, but as soon as she clicks on it it disappears!
Subsequently I receive a receipt saying the message was deleted without
being read. She says this also happened this morning with an important email
from someone else, but it does not happen all the time.

Any ideas?? Could it be something to do with Read Receipts?

Many Thanks,

Martin.

Assuming there are no rules set up in her Outlook at all, and your actual
message isn't going into junkmail, check her view settings.

There are no rules, and I doubt it's the view settings as I am getting a
'Read Receipt' from her telling me my email was deleted without being read,
so emails ARE actually getting deleted.

I suspect a third-party spam catcher, I think she's using something by
McAfee, but if its not that then I'm utterly stumped.
