Outlook 2003 and Word 2002

Just installed Outlook 2003 and I now find that I can no longer access the
Outlook Address Book in Word (2002). The program crashes and Microsoft get
another error report. Properties for the Contacts folder in Outlook has "Show
this folder as an e-mail address book" checked. Any ideas or do I have to
upgrade all my other office progs?
 
Office products must match if you want to retain integration.
 
Surely this is wrong on the part of Microsoft. Very wrong. I might wish only
to pay to upgrate Outlook and keep my XP products. Why not? Word 2003 does
not add any new, or at least visible, features. Surely they could have
provided a hotfix to Word 2002 to fix this.
Too bad.
